    Central Institute of Plastics engineering and technology, established in 1968 which also provides academic, technology support and research for polymer and allied industries aims at ensuring quality and hence has established a well-equipped laboratory for testing purposes. The lab is located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The lab conducts chemical testing on materials like HDPE Pipe, PE Gas Pipe, Plastic Raw Materials, UPVC Pipe, PVC Resin, plastic products undergo tests like Resistance to Sulphuric Acid, overall Migration, Volatile Moisture Content, Water Absorption of Plastics, Carbon Black Content and many more. The lab also conducts mechanical testing on materials like Plastic bottle, water storage tank, UPVC Pipe, Pipe for Conduit system, Plastic Material, Thermoplastics, Telecom Pipe etc., which undergo tests like Resistance to Deformation, Stacking Test, Ink Adhesion for Printed Containers, Melt Flow Index, Hydraulic Characteristics and many more.
