About Regional Laboratory, M.P. Pollution Control Board, Madhya Pradesh
Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board is vested with the duty of maintaining cleanliness across the state along with controlling the pollution of various environmental abiotic components. Its regional Laboratory for the testing of various samples is located in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Established in 1990, the laboratory aims at monitoring the status of pollution and to monitor effluents and emissions. Surface water, ground water and wastewater samples can be tested for the analysis of their temperature, pH, total solids, turbidity, hardness, BOD, COD and other relevant parameters. The laboratory is equipped with highly efficient instruments like gas chromatograph and atomic absorption spectrophotometer to monitor the pollution status in the state.
