    About Material Testing Laboratory, Ordnance Factory, Thane

    Indian Ordnance Factory was established by the Government as supplier of all defence related equipment including battlefield equipment, defence hardware and other significant instruments. They are engaged into the businesses of production, testing, logistics, research and development and marketing activities. As part of their function, they have established a testing facility Thane, Maharashtra. Chemical and Mechanical testing are conducted in this state of the art technologically advanced facility on materials such as aluminium, copper, iron, zinc and their alloys. The testing facility is dedicated to serving the defence sector of the nation and hence bears the grave responsibility of ensuring that the products they test are fit for use and conform to the pre-determined regulations as required by the country’s vigilance authorities.
