It has its transformer testing division in Mumbai, Maharashtra for its Indian base of operation. It mainly deals in the sectors of power system, industrial system and consumer products. The tests are performed on devices and instruments like industrial and power transformers, HT circuit breakers, LT, HT, DC and traction motors, alternators and generators, railway signalling equipment, lighting products, fans, tank compressor, blower systems, capacitors, pumps and public switching, etc. The tests are mainly of two types electrical and mechanical. Electrical tests check for voltage and current ratings, leakage, insulation levels, etc., whereas mechanical tests confirm external body strengths. The organisation has a lot of subsidiaries all over the world and is continually excelling day by day.
