    Institute for Machine Tools Technology or IMTT is a highly renowned institute at Batala, Punjab, which deals with the various types of services related to engineering, and engineering testing. It also looks after the various types of Industrial needs like supplies, services, and machinery. The IMTT is the result of a UNDP/UNIDO assisted Punjab Government Project. It has received accreditation from NABL and has been awarded the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certification. They have performed numerous variety of chemical and mechanical testing on a wide variety of metals and alloys like carbon, alloy steel, silicon, sulfur, nickel, chromium, cast iron, and much more. They also perform a different kind of mechanical tests on metals and alloys like detecting their mechanical properties like breaking load, tensile test, tensile and yield strength etc. Metallography test of metals for microstructural analysis, estimation of grain size, designating the microstructure of graphite in Cast iron, and much more.
