    About Testing Laboratory (Directorate of Export Promotion & Marketing) MSME Department

    Directorate of Export Promotion and Marketing was established in the state of Odisha in 1963, formerly as State Purchasing Organization, with an aim to promote export from the state and provide assistance for marketing to the Small Scale units. It is also known to promote quality and standardization of the manufactured products. This inspection of the products takes place in its Testing Laboratory at the MSME Department, Government of Odisha. It provides elemental composition testing of steel and mass and uniformity of zinc coating on iron and steel. IT also provides test for the mechanical properties of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, alloys, and high strength deformed steel and alloy products.
