    Quality Marking & Testing Laboratory, established in 1981 which is undertaking under Commerce & Industry Department offers testing facilities for various products and hence has set up a lab. The lab is located in Bhilai, Chattisgarh. The lab conducts chemical testing on materials like Cast Iron, Ferrous & Alloys and Metallic Coating which undergo tests like Carbon, Sulphur, Silicon, Nickel, Chromium, Galvanization test: Uniformity of Zinc Coating, Mass of Zinc Coating and many more. The lab also conducts mechanical testing on materials like Metallic / Materials Ferrous & Non Ferrous, Concrete, Burnt Clay Bricks/ Fly Ash Bricks which undergo tests like Yield strength, Tensile strength, Compressive Strength and many more. The organization has total 248 employees including 54 officers and 194 supporting staff.
