The Quality Assurance Directorate-General (DGQA) is under Deptt. Of Production of Defense, Ministry of Defense. This organization, located in Madhya Pradesh is over a hundred years old and provides coverage of Quality Assurance (QA) for the entire range of arms, ammunition, equipment and stores delivered to the Armed Forces. In addition to QA activities, the organization is responsible for the substitution of imports and is involved in development projects with the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). It also guarantees Documentation, Codification and Standardization Action to minimize component / equipment range. The other facilities provided are the introduction to customers, the Ministry and the Production Agencies of small-scale sectors, post procurement facilities, defect research and technical consultancy. Under this organisation, the facilities are distributed throughout the nation where the Ordnance Factories, Public Sector Defense Enterprises, and Industrial Base are found. The purpose of the website is to give the DGQA organisation and its functionalities a bird's eye perspective. In addition to operations related to quality assurance, the organisation is accountable for import substitution and is involved in construction initiatives with the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
