    Pesticide Testing Laboratory, IIRT plays an important role in analyzing and certifying technical grade pesticides and formulations for safe usage. It is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to carry out all the required tests to ascertain conformity to various national and international specifications. The thrust areas include the analysis of technical grade pesticides and formulations, residual pesticide analysis, establishing of MRL values for pesticides, certification of organic farming products, shelf life studies as per CIB guidelines and analytical toxicology of agrochemicals. Pesticide testing of various products includes fresh foods, ingredients, processed food, soil and water. Pesticides testing revolves around the analysis of two types of residues viz. MRA (multi residue analysis) and SRA (specific residue analysis). Analysis is carried out as per prominent national and international standards including BIS, CIPAC, WHO specifications, FAO specifications, AOAC specifications, etc.
