They have stringent criterias for the quality of the products they produce, therefore they have set up a laboratory in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh which is endowed with latest technologies to carry out tests for quality testing of lubricants and developing new products. They perform tests to check the colour, density, viscosity, ash content, water content, consistency, heat stability and many more relevant factors for quality assurance of lubricants such as grease and oil. They test the consistency and the drop melting point for petroleum jelly as well. They conduct these tests on samples so that the batch produced conforms to standards, to establish correct formula and to standardise the condition for processing.
