About Centre for Analysis of Chemical Toxins

CSIR-IICT is a Hyderabad based institution working for the central government working on the analysis and detailed study of chemical toxins. It was established in the year 1983. One of its significant work is the development of technology for identification of vector borne diseases. The areas of research include basic and applied chemistry, biochemistry, bioinformatics and chemical engineering. The tests are conducted on pesticides, drugs, organic intermediates, fine chemicals, catalysts, polymers, organic coatings, vegetable oil products and low grade coal. The technologies used to carry out the former tests are developed in the test centre itself by employing the outcomes of research conducted in the organisation itself on process and mechanical designs. The organisation has been helpful since the time of its setup in quality check of a wide range of chemical products and will continue to do so in the future years as well.
