    About Central Wood Testing Laboratory, The Rubber Board

    It is an undertaking of Ministry of Commerce and Industry and is situated in Kottayam, Kerala. The wood testing operation has been a success since the year 2000 and it has been engaged in offering services in the sector of wood examination and providing solutions regarding wood-based inventories. The test set ups are meant to test wood, plywood, wood preservatives, adhesives, finger jointed panel boards, etc. The infrastructure present in the laboratory facility are Shimadzu universal testing machine for materials testing, Taber abrasion resistance tester, full-fledged wood anatomy lab, Olympus Stereo Microscope, image analyser system, chemical testing facilities, etc. to analyse the quality of product samples. Testing and quality control along with provision of technical advisory are main service verticals of the organisation. The assurance of service provision is guaranteed and is highly qualitative.
