    The Rubber Board of India of India is entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to take the growth of the rubber industry forward. Rubber Board of India has established Rubber Research Institute of India to support its initiative. This institute commonly abbreviated as RRII, has a testing laboratory which ensures that the quality of rubber being produced in India is of superior quality. The facility is located in the South region of the country in Kottayam in Kerala. It is equipped with state of the art modern technological developments to carry chemical and mechanical testing rubber and allied products. Few of the materials which are subjected to the tests include raw rubber, rubber latex and preserved field latex.
