    About Ahmedabad Textile Industry's Research Association (ATIRA)

    As is evident from the name, the organisation has its base at Ahmedabad, Gujarat. It was established in the year 1947 and obtained its working licence and commenced its full-fledged operation in 1949.It has 97 units of manufacturing, process and testing facilities located all over the country. The laboratories specialize in tests such as those of fibre, yarn, garment, strength, performance, dimensional stability, colourfastness, geosynthesis, flame and heat protection and chemical properties, etc. Other than fibre and textiles the organisation performs test and calibration services of dyes, chemicals other equipment related to textile manufacturing. Hence his end to end manufacturing facility and in-house testing facility enables the organisation to achieve greater quality for reasonable capital investments.
