About Standards & Calibration Squadron

Standards & Calibration Squadron are one of the most essential unit of Indian Air Force. Located in New Delhi, the BRDs are the ones who are responsible for maintaining and repairing all the aircrafts, looking after overhauls, major repairs and major upgradations. They perform various electro-technical calibrations like measurement of DC voltage, DC current, AC voltage, AC current, DC resistance, inductance, capacitance, RF attenuator, impedance measurement, frequency, RF power, amplitude modulation, frequency modulation, etc. The Standards & Calibration Squadron develops various parts by paying attention to all minute details like standard of material, component drawing, execution process, and finally, acceptance testing; so as to ensure that the Indian Air Force gets the best of best. The Standards & Calibration Squadron is a NABL ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accredited laboratory.
