    About Defence Laboratory (DRDO)

    Defence Laboratory (DRDO) is Located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Defence Laboratory (DLJ) of DRDO was established in 1959. It initially aimed at conducting research to study the desert warfare equipment and weapons but currently, it encompasses a wide range of areas including the electronics, communication, transportation and environment. Its R&D department deals with the radiological testing of the area survey instruments and personal monitoring instruments. The laboratory is well equipped to provide calibration of the radiological instruments for gamma exposure and its rate with high accuracy. Besides, DLJ provides an enormous range of facilities. It has different units dedicated to provide near-field diagnostic RCS facility, data processing facility, testing and characterization of advance materials, EM characterization facility and simulated desert environment testing facility.
